Fist Bumping Blues

Connor broke a bone under his right knuckle fist bumping one of his coaches. Really, they couldn't just high fived. He is out for the season for travel soccer and spring baseball. Which means he is home more but Dad the coach isn't. Past two weeks have been a lot of I'm bored, what should I do, what can I eat.?? My answer is always a piece a fruit and read a book, so that usually works pretty fast. He leaves the room. I did feel bad for him at 3rd grade field day, being on the medic side of the ropes, not being able to participate. Charlotte and I cheered him on anyway, "Go Connor, you stand like a champ!".

Buy Me Some Peanuts and Crackerjacks

It's that time of year again. Connor is on the little league team the Cardinals, which just happens to be my favorite bird. Tweet!!! This is his 4th year, so the boys are pitching, learning to pitch. He has gotten hit by a pitch twice so far, and slid into by a player on second base that banged up his knee. Yikes, and I didn't want him to play football?? Charlotte by the way, LOVES the games. It's like one big instant play date. Kids, parents, grandparents, even the umps all play games with her. Everyone comes home exhausted and bed time is easy peasy!

First group of pictures are from the Baseball parade from opening day. All the teams march thru Main Street to our main fields where there are speeches, music, food, and of course, games. Fun!
