We're A Close Knit Family

Just had to show off my sister Eileen's talent. She knitted three beautiful sweaters for Charlotte. I love the colors and the detail. I wish I could knit, but I am not that creative with my hands. Remember when hook rugs were all the rage in the 70's, that is about as crafty as I got. When are hook rugs coming back in style?
Anyway, Eileen, as I mentioned, we will take a sweater in 2T in a lemon color. Get knittin'. I tell her all the time she should sell them on Etsy or ebay. Or open a knit/coffee shop. I love the name Knit Wit for the shop. Ok knitters, what are your favorite names for a knitting store??

Legos, Legos and Scooby Doo!

Today is one awesome 7th birthday for Connor. In New Jersey to visit our family. Connor is adjusting really well to having a little sister and sharing his parents. A few pouts here and there, but we can't blame him. Scooby Doo , Phineas and Ferb, and more legos than a boy could possibly put together are in his future today. In fact I am pretty sure at this point he could build a summer home  for our family with the legos we have now. Only problem we would be living in a Star Wars ship. Next week is a Lazerland birthday party , no girls allowed!!!Except his mother, and his sister............

A Day at our House

What a long week. We did a lot. Two days of blood tests, which I will talk about later, a hearing screening at an audiologist, she can hear, re-adoption paperwork done for NY state, and even some portraits done . Throw in working around Connor 's school schedule and sports, today we just wanted to stay home and have some fun.

My most wonderful friend Nicolina (Nicki) Fragale Tumminia surprised me on Saturday with a collage of my blog and our journey to Charlotte. It was so special and thoughtful. She has that creative gene that I lack. She captured all the special moments. This will hang in Charlotte's room for years to come. I met Nicki the first day of freshman year, she was one of my roomates. How lucky I am to still be friends with the girls I met that day. So many milestones we have shared together. I love you all!!

How does just one month change a life. Our life is is beyond enriched, happy, and the cuteness quotient has been shot through the sky. Connor said it best today that our family is now complete. Charlotte is thriving, adjusting to day to day life. We are blessed.
