Three Years

Three years ago we were able to hold our baby girl for the first time. As every parent knows, the days are long, but the years fly. My baby is a preschooler, she can write her name, all of our names. She is sassy, loving, funny, and brings so much joy to everyone.  I love how our journey continues...

Year of the Horse

We are visiting my mother who is in the hospital. She is OK, but we are frustrated with not finding out a diagnosis of what is making her feel ill. It's lot of worrying and waiting. It's my Mom. 

Charlotte and I attended our FCC Chinese New Year celebration. She is still wary of the dragon, but always has a lot of fun with her friends. 

Health and Happiness, Love and Family, really is the only thing that matters, but you don't know that until you grow up.

She's A Beauty

Charlotte had the opportunity to go a party for a good friend of mine whose daughter was turning six. Now we have been to many parties and so far it has been touch and go if Charlotte will actually participate in the party. She still can be shy and timid in new situations. She certainly does not want to be the center of attention. We have kept her own birthday parties limited to small family parties.  I just assumed that she would once again be a quiet participant at my friends party, considering she never met any of the girls and all were older. Boy did she ever prove me wrong.

Who knew she liked Makeover parties! Getting her nails done (first time), purple eye shadow, glitter for your hair, costumes, dancing, a photo shoot, she enthusiastically did it all. I was so happy for her, having a great time, but oh my...am I in trouble.? I wasn't thinking make up for a very loooong time. If ever! I want her to know beauty from within, but I can't deny it, she loved it.

She's Four

Charlotte's 4th birthday was last week. We celebrated by taking her to Disney on Ice (snow cones!)  and a family party over the holiday weekend. Her best gift, her new bike with training wheels. It may be 2 degrees outside, but was doing laps around the house like a pro. We are also back in the swing of things in our routine, gymnastics, dance, school. I love how excited she is right before we get to her activities. She loves them and she is really getting social now too. This morning she asked me to invite a friend over for her first official play date, and so it begins...

A new year is already here, ready or not.  We enjoyed ourselves at a little get together with our friends. The kids had a blast together, Connor was a trooper with all the little ones. I tried so hard to stay awake until midnight but just missed it!  The kids were so excited, when I woke up there was streamers all over the house, cups of sparkling cider on the counter, hats and noisemakers on the floor. It looks like I missed a great time.
