Back at the Beach
The east coast had such a long horrible winter, it was wonderful getting back to the beach. She still loves it. Nothing better than getting your toes back in the sand.

Happy
My mother has been thankfully responding to her treatment. Of course when you think life is getting back to normal, my father who is a strong 94 years, falls and breaks his hip. Recovering from surgery today, I am sitting in the hospital feeling sorry for him, my mother, myself and everything under the sun. It's times like these you count your blessings. I have wonderful parents, family, friends. The important stuff. So, I am posting recent pics from Easter that make me happy!

Puppy Love
Haven't posted in a while, a lot happening around here and just haven't taken a breath. But good news on many fronts. Most importantly my mother is doing well, getting treatment and slowly getting energy back. It is just going to take time, but every day we see a little improvement. From where she was in January, she is talking, reading, a little walking. We are blessed.
Other news, our newest family member!! For Connor's 10th birthday I knew I wanted to surprise him with a puppy. I started looking for breeders (Yorkies! what else!) and finally found one who had females pups available and as if it was kismet, the breeder was about 3 miles from my parents and sisters house!!!
Connor thought his big gift this year was NY Knicks tickets. He and I have bonded over basketball and the NBA since the Jeremy Lin Linsanity craze, so this was a gift for me too! He had been asking for a puppy for weeks and we led on that it wasn't going to be until summer. It truly was a surprise and she is just adorable. We are still working on a name. Annabelle took 2 weeks to name. Charlotte thinks she is the cutest and I agree!
