Tea Set For Charlotte

Today we went to a porcelain shop and bought Charlotte a beautiful tea set which we will gift to her for a special occasion later in life. Like when she graduates Harvard. Then the group went to a park to walk around, meet the locals, play at the playground. It was a lot of fun. We got so many stares and people wanted to take pictures with us. Being a celebrity is hard work, so our group shamelessly voted for our first McDonald's for lunch. It tasted exactly like it did at home. Tonight we are having a calligrapher come to the hotel. She is going to write all of the babies names in Chinese and English on a scroll to take home. We are leaving Nanchang tomorrow to continue our trip to Guangzhou where the American Consulate is located.  I am sure one day Charlotte will come back to Nanchang to visit her birthplace.

  1. Love the smiling pics! Reading your post brings back such fond memories although our group voted for Pizza Hut the day we did a similar trip as your group :p We also bought a tea set for Annie. It was by far the most treasured gift we brought home with us. Hugs

  4. It won't be your only McDonalds meal, believe me! It looks like Charlotte has settled in quite nicely - how wonderful! Off to Guangzhou now, I am curious to know how things are there after all the construction that was going on when we were there last year. Have fun...
